hard to find more bike for the $ than one of these that can do more things and go forever or go right out on the track.....
this series /model is about as balanced a bike as that era turned out....flat out walk away from just about anyone even big bikes....
I had this bike for a few years, 4 years ago. I pretty much agree with everything you said, it was a great 2nd bike for me. Sporty, but balanced (good word for it).
EDIT: That picture you found is a little lame though, lol. The wolf face in the background cracks me up.
too funny.....The wolf face in the background cracks me up......i never even saw it when i "borrowed" that pic...i was looking for a red one...there is one that parks in the parking garage at work and there a good amount and types of bike...it is clean and has a pipe and a few goodies....simple little...out of the box decade old (some older) 600....
thing is...if you took all the bike that park in that garage just the way they came to the track....that little 12 yr old 600 that was no big deal....i bet it would top the heap or damn close....take it to N.Y and back and it might win again.....who knows...either way for 3500 4500 you get "the bike" of a decade (and half)

now the daughter took a liking to it so its suddenly into a good candidate for a 1 ton 4x4 transplant with a 700r4 automatic /power steering/disc brakes /factory air and all those things that woman cant seem to live without!
of course if she keeps pissing me off it might also end up with alcoa aluminum duallys all the way around and a flatbed and 8' western plow on front of it so she can plow my driveway for me! :woohoo:
oh yeah the only bikes that i have i wont get rid of that arent kz's are a late 72 z1 ,2 74 z1s and 2 75z1s! yeah theyre all projects also :woohoo:

I love those small cc bikes, so hard to find around here though. They are either basket cases or people want a fortune for them.
