Crash

Well guys I was my way to the Saturday morning ride to the rock store and this idiot in a car talking on a cell phone wandered into my lane. I was south bound on the 14 just north of the I-5 interchange. The above retard drifted into my lane and I had to move over to the right. Due to traffic I had to stay in my lane but there was a large crack in the road which I was trying to stay out of. Well even using my horn and waving with my left arm trying to get this idiots attention he still kept coming. I had to keep moving right, this put my front tire right into the crack. My handlebars started violently shaking from left to right, which broke my left wrist. I went down at 75 mph and rolled about 8 times then slid another 100 feet. Thanks to my protective gear my only injuries were a broken wrist and some minor road rash. My bbike is in pretty bad shape. I got it home yesterday and I'm hoping the frame isn't bent so I can rebuilt it. I just wan't to cry when I look at it. I just finished it up last year and this was my first long ride with since the rebuild.

No one got his number and he just kept going. I guess he was to engrossed with the conversation in the phone.

The fork brace broke in two so I really don't know if the front end is bent yet. Can't start unbolting anything till my wrist heals up. I also need a seat or at least a pan. Thanks for the offer McDroid but I want to stay with the round light.

The bike can be fixed. Be very thankful. Tell us about the gear you wear and what it did for you....
