On my bone stock 77 I was running 12.70's all day long a couple of years ago. That was with my 250 pounds sitting on it. You should have no problem getting into the mid 12's. I have a 530 conversion, gs swingarm and a 150 tire on for this year so we will see what it does.

Side Note:
A friend of mind had an all stock '84 GPz550, and ran in in NH Night Drags, consistantly at 12.70/104 mph.

I agree, take it to the track as it is, and learn how to launch, then make it go faster.

combine that with the kz1k frame mod which should be good for another .10 off your time if youre pushing it down the the track,.05 if you weld everything back together first and ride it! :woohoo:

Through rim into tire bead on both sides, helps keep tire from slipping on rim. Some use more than others. Try to evenly space to keep "balanced" around the rim.

Good Fortune! :)

I had to do this with my BSA after ripping the valve stem out of the tube hitting second gear (thrill ride, I assure you!). Didn't know about rim locks or they weren't invented yet in the olden days. The screws solved the problem. Not necessary with tubeless tires. Ed
