I have a 78 KZ 1000 that I have owned since 1982. I started restoring last year and obtained Antique Tags. In Pennsylvania, the vehicle must be 25 yrs old, close to original condition (need to send front, rear and both sides photos) and can only be used for "occasional transportation", not everyday commuting. There is a 1 time fee of around $75. The registration is permanent and the bike is exempt from annual inspections. I was told to expect 3-5 weeks for the tags to come from the DMV. I sent the application on Monday and received the tags on Friday. Don't know if this is because I owned the bike for over 25 years but wasn't complaining :)

"Early American" plates in Connecticut are $40 for 2 years with no restrictions. No different as the regular m/c plates. They are not considered "Vanity Plates" which have additional fees.

I have the Early American plates on my 650 and I get a few questions once in a while. B)

I swear to God, it's like I live in a trailer of common sense, and stare out the window at a tornado of stupidity.
