the picture does not even come close to standing nnext to one...in it's own class for sure....timeless

I'm sure it performs well, but compared to the flowing lines of a KZ it looks like an exoskeletal insect.

Agreed, Ed, and an ugly insect at that.

Sorry Craig, but it will never be "timeless". A decade hence it will look as dated and ridiculous as "grunge" does today. It is forever locked into this place and time and can never transcend it. Classic style is timeless, the motorcycle pictured above is not.

No one ever accused the British Isles of being the epicenter of art, but when you look at sports cars and motorcycles, the Brit styling cues of their late '50s and '60s offerings in both categories absolutely nailed it. It's no accident that our beloved KZs bear more than a passing resemblance to those classics.

Thank goodness today's designers can't tinker with the soft curves and smooth lines of a beautiful woman. :woohoo:

I'm with you Craig,

That bike rocks! Albeit a bit too much for me. Frankly, I'm lusting, in my heart, for a 1400 Concours. Jimmy Carter, Dude you missed the boat!

Which returns us to the original point...this may be the ultra streetbike, but they aren't selling...which means something is wrong...and if Kawasaki has the motor/suspension dialed in, then it must be the curb appeal.

so do nylon imitation stick on mohawks........

or gold plated stretched out bikes like the hyabusa...which was way friggin ugly to begin with...

all im saying is.......before i'm gonna ride a warmed up retro triumph or fake cb1100.......therer are better options....would i buy one......no.....i still gotta get my list finished
