You need to be able to charge while you ride or drive.

I'm thinking maybe a gravity powered bike would be cool. Let's see, if I put a small wheel on the front and a large wheel on the rear (the opposite of my KZ650 19" front / 18" rear) I'll always be riding downhill. And if I bump up the weight by adding lead ballast I should build up enough momentum on level ground to carry the bike up and over any really large hills that would otherwise overcome my small front wheel/large rear wheel profile. I'll work on it and show pics AFTER my patent is approved. Ed

I have seen, one or two electric powered ninja's on the net.
Can't remember where, maybe I posted a photo.

I like the bikes that I have seen, when they use a real bottom end, with an electric motor on top. You will get more power with a transmission, then adding batteries for more power.

Battery type is important, recharge time is another issue.

I have only seen one or two good throttle set ups. In my mind, the throttle is a biggie! You need smooth control of the power. Throttle set ups are easier, if you use a computer, but who wants that crap.

Next year, when all the electric street bikes come out, things will really start to happen. Home tuners will go wild and we will see some real improvements happen.
