How many ride in the rain? Is it hard to do? Is cornering scary? and how do you see without a wiper on your facesheild?

it's crappy but if i get caught i ride. as far as the cornering goes take it easy and tip-toe thru them and you'll be fine and for not having a wiper you either buy gloves with suede inserts on the back of the fingers or ride really fast to blow it off i prefer the later method of rain removal. also it allows you to get home quicker so you can dry off.

I love it all that stinging and feeling unsafe really gets the old blood pumping.

If you ride a motorcycle you will ride in the rain I rode over 400 miles in the rain across nebraska in one day,First invest in quality rain gear, water proof boots, and a nice full face helmet I like to wear leathers over rain gear just in case,Slow down, dont crowd, pay attention listen to what your bike tells you,get the feel for your bike with your tires as for seeing I like rain-ex on my shield water will bead up & roll off even at slower speeds as it is not always safe to go faster, rain sucks but its alot better when your prepared,be safe and have fun!

I get caught sometimes and the one thing about it besides the safety factor is that it really messes up my bike. One ride in the rain and it takes me hours to clean it up from all the road grime!

Yea the getting dirty part is the worst part about it. Otherwise just be careful as others have mentioned. Be careful of white lines and blocks painted on the road. These get really slick. This is kind of expensive gear, but it kind of takes the place of leathers, a jacket and a rainsuit all rolled up into one. I wear this any more on long rides and it can rain, be sunny, doesn't matter it works great.

You never can trust the weather forcasts either. One trip I went 10,000 miles with not one drop of rain. Last night in a motel 600 miles from home looked up the weather and it was all clear. I was going to be relatively clean after 10,000 miles of road. I get up at 2AM to find it raining and it rained for 600 miles all the way home. That "little storm" just sneaked up out of nowhere I guess.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

light rain is the most dangerous imo....first rains are really bad too......stop signs and turn lanes where vehicles are sitting whil waiting to go...build up drippings...by habit i look down at lights to see what's dripped in the last few minutes...you'd be suprised... dry or wet you can see the fluids sitting there ...some spots are real bad.. i try and remember where the are.......go slow and it can be safe......kinda fun too.....but not really....messy....dangerous and % of something going wrong goes way up.....my 2cents

when your riding in the rain and it's chilly, and windy, and you see another bike going the other way,i kinda feel a special bond between motorcylists at that moment.....anyone can make the commute in a car, only crazies try it on a bike:cheer:
