I went and picked it up Sunday.Yes I think it looks maybe even better than the pictures. It has some light surface rust on some of the chrome but with just a few minutes with a peice of steelwool it wipes right off.Too cold to do much else but its supposed to warm up end off the week so I can try to get it running.I will get some pictures up after work today.

That sounds like good news I can't wait to see where you go with this bike. You might want to check this thread out

Motorcycle Classics is doing an "Under The Radar" piece about KZ750's, who knows they might want to use your new toy as an example of what can still be found out there.

In the ebay pics it looks like the clear on the top of the tank is failing. If it is just the clear you might be able to get away with just wetsanding the top of the tank with maybe some 1000 grit paper and just have the clear re-shot. Hard to say for sure without some better pics though.

Here are a few pics.Gringo,I thought the same thing about the tank but actually the only thing wrong is some minor cracking on the stipes. It also has the original Kawasaki key,the whole tool kit and the owners manual.

That was a good score. It looks better already with the ugly sissybar removed. Are you going to keep the fairing on it? Good news about the tank it must have just been dirt in the sellers pictures making it look like the clear was shot. Had the PO spent just a little bit of time on cleaning that bike up it probably would have fetched a few hundred more, bad news for him good news for you. Unlike many 750 twins you see the exhausts look to be really solid. Now all you need is some good weather and some time to give it a little TLC. Should be well worth it.

laidback:

Great find! I knew that bike was an excellent deal. Nothing better than buying something online and discovering that the deal was even better than you thought.

Could you do me a favor and take a couple pictures of the Sissy Bar front and back? I know they are ugly but they really come in handy when taking road trips.

Thanks ...Russ

Russ, I just bought a very similar Kawasaki sissy bar/luggage rack off of ebay for roadtrips. The sissybar/backrest is adjustable and when you want it can be completely removed to just leave the luggage rack. I'll post some pictures if you'd like B)

Laidback... AWESOME score!

Thanks laidback.
KZ250LTD: I would appreciate it. Here is the one I picked up. It does not have a pad and I will be making one so any pics are good...Russ

I think I am going to split it and slide it over the two inner details and sort of sandwich it.

As to not High Jack this thread post them here ok.
