Quite simply they cover road racing second to none. BTW, John Ulrich was once on the staff of Cycle World.

not to highjack this thread....and kinda on topic i started a thread yesterday talking about the march "roadracing world"s issue having sooooo much history on old superbikes, odd frame builders from the past, maverick superstars of the past, really, really, really good ,i was suprised to find such stuff in a mag covering the modern racing scene....check it out it was the best u.s mag i've read in a longggggggggg time...allways a great read compared to cycle(fashion/stunt/rag)world or motorcyclist...if not for kevin cameron i would just read em in the grocery store in 6 minutes and finish shopping for milk and eggs.....
Right. I've been subscribing since it was a paperback and not a glossy; and yeah, last month's issue was the best that I can remember. I also agree about the rest of the glossy rags; my one caution to the MC Retro is that Mitch leans strongly towards Honda and - in the past - he has shown difficulty in keeping it relevant past the "Honda World" / "Honda-Cyclist" dribble.
The last magazine was too 'dirt' oriented for me, but it's good as it's period oriented.
On an interesting note: I had a dialog going with Mitch and when he found out what I had parked in the garage and what my friends had in their garages he got REAL interested. However, when I told him about the mods (suspension and motor) the dialog ended without further contact...just 'done'. Guess an ELR clone with inverted forks and 17"s just isn't what the boy is looking for. :woohoo: ...but a "Dear John" letter would have been nice.
I'm not foolin' anybody, I'll probably still buy it...but daaaaaaaaaaaang it's steep!
