Not too bad a mag but I think they're in the market a little late. CMM has the Japanese side pretty well sewed up and Classic Bike has the Brit/Euro side taped.....and both have been on the market for eons.....and, IMO, are pretty good mags, especially CMM.
I definitely agree with Jeff's comments although there IS a market for a classic dirt bike mag. CMM just started one up ~6-8 months ago. I'm not sure how it's going over....
FWIW, I really enjoyed the "Cross Country on a Honda 305 Dream" story in MR. Quite a trip those boys were on. A primer on what can happen with old bikes, little/no preparation, lotsa enthusiasm and no schedule. Great stuff.

The same month Retro was canceled, the issue of Motorcyclisthad several pages devoted to image-based Southern California motorcycle and scooter clubs. Sad to see us passed over in favor of the hipsters.
New format, subscription only for now...

With limited distribution (read, no Walmart) and an economy that has tanked in a lot of areas and no subscriptions early on to reach those beyond the distribution limit, I'm not too surprised that it has gone away. I would have liked to have seen an issue to judge it fairly, but now I won't get the chance. I still take Motorcycle Classics and Cycle World.
Agree w/you on this...very spotty distribution...and I'd like to add that the short 'test run' was an insufficient amount of time to properly judge the mag to see was going to make it (apparently the owner agrees as he is still attempting to salvage production)...but I also take Motorcycle Classics, Cycle World and VJMC...US$40/year is steep...for that I could subscribe to one of the UK mags...which are really good.
