...Also you are launching at a pretty low rpm-- you shoudln't have any problem getting it to stick unless your track is that bad-- bikes run 7.0's on small slicks with no bars--- what air pressure are you running in your tire? Seems to me that if anything you would be bogging off the launch--- new tires are something and stick real well.. I have had been 1.38 on my KZ streetbike with no bars and a street shinko. Drop that air pressure...

I can't remember my 60 ft times, but I do know I have my 2-step set to launch at 7200 - 7600 depending on track conditions. That's with a 7" slick, wheelie bars and struts. Don't be afraid to let 'er rip!:)

THis is probably the funniest thread I have read on here--

Iroc-- you can get pissed at people on here that might not know everything about dragracing when you say you like to laugh at people that know nothing about it.

Bracket racing isn't the easiest sport to understand-- especially the tree-- yes the starting line is where the race is mostly won and lost-- but no-- it doesn't have anything to do with your ET_- you can sit forever and still run the exact same time as if you had a perfect light-- like mentioned before the timers don't start til you move.

Another thing-- who the hell said it takes 200HP to go 9's--and Plummen where do you live where busa's only run low 10's-Denver?

iroc-- for your setup your bike doesn't run to bad-- the front half is much better than the back half-- a 6.27 should have put you down a little lower in the 1/4 I woudl have thought. Also you are launching at a pretty low rpm-- you shoudln't have any problem getting it to stick unless your track is that bad-- bikes run 7.0's on small slicks with no bars--- what air pressure are you running in your tire? Seems to me that if anything you would be bogging off the launch--- new tires are something and stick real well.. I have had been 1.38 on my KZ streetbike with no bars and a street shinko. Drop that air pressure.

Keep racing though-- people get pissed at the comment like laughing at them-- most just aren't sure about dragracing -- you will get quicker as you get more time-- plus getting everything dialed in.

omaha nebraska.lowered slightly stretched busas run high 6s in the 1/8 around here every weekend across the bridge at the track which im gonna make a semi educated guess and say is high nines to low 10s in the 1/4.theres a couple small kaw 1200 turbos that run mid 5s and a couple pretty well dialed in 1197 kaws with carbs run low 6s around on a regular basis there is no bike that runs the exact times in differant places, most bikes dont repeat the same times at the same track from one week to the next due to simple things like temp and humidity you know that as well as anybody on here!

wow high 6's on a busa in the 1/8--- thats not real good.
at our local track slow busa's run 640-6.50 and the quicker one are low 6's.
yes i know you can always run the same numbers from track to track --but most guys that run here are pretty much close to what they ran the week before-- and unless we go west we usually run real close t othe same.
