Ever just play with a Harley?

But I still run into Harley riders who've obviously never met a KZ.
Yesterday was one of those times.
Going home from work yesterday I passed this Harley rider, then a little bit later I got caught at a red light. This particular light leads to a long straight stretch of fairly smooth asphalt. No turn offs. Safe as it gets.
Well the Harley guy pulls up next to me, but he doesn't look over and nod or anything. He didn't look like the type of guy that would want to race.
Well I was wrong. The light turns green and he takes off like a bat out of hell. My first instinct of course was to just blast past him, but that's getting a little old.
So I zipped up next to him, throttled back and ran side by side with him.
It was funny to watch him chugging his motor up to a frenzy of ferocious vibration, hunched down on the bars, seeing his forks compress and extend with each clunky shift. Regular Screamin Eagle he was.
I just wish I coulda seen his face when I finally yanked mine open and blasted him away.

Tried once but slipped on the oil spill out of the thing and broke a hip...
Same time, we should be somewhat nice here for not all Harley riders are ass wipes.
I don't know of any Harley riders that started riding a Harley their first bike as kids, we ALL started on some form of a Japanese bike (Kawasaki, Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha etc...)
Most of the old timers will walk up and review an old KZ and every time you can see the look on their faces, in their eyes reflecting about the first time they came across a KZ.
It's magic I tell ya...

I find that VERY true of the ( cough, cough ) "older" riders like myself. But most of the young whipper snappers are still wet behind the ears and waiting to be spanked by a old Z1 or KZ.

1500 kit with cams.
got me off the line but at the next stop i had to ask him.
i got a warning light on my gauges, is my brake light working?
hooked him!
when he said yes, i had to tell him
" i knew you seen it"
someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

I gotta admit, the XR1200 compared to the "new" V-Max actually looks like a motorcycle.
Blackbanshee, Watching you and your wife play with that HOG rider would have been just priceless.

You complain about the attitude of the harley riders towards your bikes and your Bragging about how you blew them away - at the light, caught them up and blew by ect. ect. ect. Its really getting old !
Is it the bike you hate so much or the attitude of the riders ? If its the attitude of the harley rider , then he propbably knows that you think your bike is superior to his , :S Wonder why he's got a attitude:dry:
Why the hell cant we just ride and apperiate the company and respect the others choice of wheels? , Be it harley, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Beemer Honda, Moped . or Whatever,.
Its all 2 or 3 wheels and about the ride not the brand
I could give a Tinkers Damn About what you'r choice of ride is, or if you could blow me away at the light , You want to blow by me doing 1289000000 klms per hr , then you will be riding way out in front by yourself , While Im cruising alone and enjoying my ride
Sorry ! Thats just the way I feel ,
