Do You Own Your Dream Bike??? was created by Scrapper
I told someone that I ride and he asked me what type of motorcycle I rode. I told him I ride a 2004 Suzuki Marauder VZ800. "Nice!", he said. "You got your dream bike then. I want a Nightster." I am trying to wrap my mind around our conversation. Is my dream motorcycle a Suzuki Marauder? I don't think I ever dreamed of owning one. It was more or spur of the moment decession. I actually went into the shop to buy oil and I looked too hard at the motorcycle on the salesfloor and the salesperson talked me into it. My dream bike would be,But then again I would like to have a Highway Tourier which the Wife and I could take Long distace Rides on for Vacation But then again I would like to build my own bobber again out of numerous parts bikes, which the Rauder has the bones to make. It's not dream bike stuff yet though.

How about you? Do you own your dream bike? ;) B)

Too many dream bikes to own. Besides if I really think DREAM BIKE they haven't made it. With the push of a button it would change between a cafe, streetfighter, classic, ratbike, tourer, economical and fire breathing OPEC loving chick magnet 2 wheel extreme mote'sickle! I think I HAVE rode this bike IN MY DREAMS!

For a non-smartass answer I have had opportunity to ride ALMOST all the bikes I have coveted. Maybe not own them but at least to ride them.B)

I'd have to win the Lottery to own my "Dream Bike", since there are about 40-50 of them, and they are all expensive. :D

Yes, but only one of them (1982 GPz1100)...I still would like a KZ1000R1 or R2, or a KZ1100R1....I also lust after a 1975 Z1B (again) and I'm really considering the Z2 that 'motorhead' has recently acquired. :)

I love my 1100, but I would love to a a chain driven 1000. But honestly I think my dream bike would have to be a 69 Bultaco Metrella 250, or a TSS 250. There is just something about riding a bike that really isn't that safe to ride at high speeds with pizza cutter tires that will rattle out the fillings in your teeth at the same time as making you change your shorts. I am pretty sure though that the fact I learned to ride from an old trials rider has alot to do with my current mindset. But then again I always wanted a Moto Guzzi too.

I'm building ONE of my dream bikes. By the time I end up making parts, and scrounging just the right "it's made for something else, but it's just the right part for this bike" parts, this is gonna be either a dream-come-true, or a nightmare!
I think there's at least one more "dreambike" that I want to build.
But, if the question is, "Does your dreambike already exist such that all you would have to do is come up with the money to buy it?", nope.

Good question, Scrapper.
As I posted on here recently under the heading "I Looked At It With Lust In My Heart" that CB750K0 was my first true dream bike.
My bikes since then have been, unfortunately, just "bikes", pleasant though most of them have been.
My Bandit does stir something within me.....I'm just not sure what.
My 650C2 has revived the "fun factor" thing though....but I'm not sure if that's just "new bike" happiness or something else. I plan on taking the 650 for longer trips (3 or 4 days) this summer so that should make my mind up about how good this bike really is. I don't believe it's a "dream bike" as such but then my "dreams" are much more modest these days than previously.
Maybe I've just ridden too long or seen too many bikes.....
or maybe being in the bike biz has taken ths shine off things for me......:S :(
Maybe I just wish I was 25 years old again.....:(
Or maybe the winter has been too long.....:( :(

KZ650C2 Stock/mint. Goes by "Ace".
H2A Built from a genuine basket case. Yes,it's a hot rod.
GT550A Stock/mint. Pleasant stroker.

Various H2 projects in the wings.

Do I own my dream bike? I don't know. Do I lie awake at night dreaming of a certain bike that would make my life complete? No.

Did I ever dream of a 650? No, but I now have two and I'm quite happy with them. I did dream of a few models way back when, but couldn't afford them anyway. I certainly thought about them when I started looking a few years ago but the 650 SR found me first.
