Wouldn't still be pushing the load at an angle? (Wanting to bend the shaft in the middle as the swinger goes thru it's stroke)

An inboard offset lower mount would be the easiest way to go to to keep the distance to the wheel symmetrical with the other side and negate the need to alter the stock frame mounts which you wanted to avoid.
The XJR1300 arms i favour have factory outboard offset lower mounts which have roughly the same amount of overhang .
I would make the mount in one piece though as opposed the two piece design you currently have.

 

Cut those tabs off and weld something like this on where you want it.

I think a pair of billet mounts as per my diagram would get it done (the angle on the shocks is exaggerated to show the concept and I don’t believe would cause any twisting
