So since my first post  at the back end of last year I have been feverishly clearing the backlog of jobs ( build bedroom furniture, Turbo blow up on my daily driver, yhada, yhada !) Finally I can get onto the bike. First job is to make some brackets for my lift. Space is an issue so a full table was out of the question  (and most of the budget options are rubbish) but I don't want to crawl around on the floor any more. I came across this single post screw lift, I had some reservations but the company that make them is only 30 minutes from me so I went over and checked it out before buying.
I chose not to have their mounts as I wanted to lift it in a specific way ( I want to be able to take it down to a bare frame but the frame still be securely bolted down, same when it goes back together) I have a very clear idea of what I want so hopefully my ambition won't exceed my ability (time will tell) wish me luck

Following your build. What brand of bike lift do you have and how high you can lift the bike?

Lift is a "Big Blue" from Quasar Products Ltd here in the UK, specs say 750mm full lift

Make us proud Wookie.
Nice and simple lift
Can you bolt it down to add stability.
Just thinking about during assemble and dismantling  the weight shift from center
But I tend to over think everything

Thanks Dave I'll do my best - your words are still ringing in my ears from my introduction post when you made reference to how many projects never get finished

I will see how it goes with the lift and if I have any concerns I will add some "T" bars to the ends of the feet - however if you look at the below I think it will be more stable than you think

Is that an old Honda Pacific Coast?
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.
