Hey Scirocco, I made a clutch release plate like the one you have mounted. I have it mounted on the same bolt holes as yours (it was your pics that I fabricated it from). Could you tell me the length of the spacers and bolts that came in the kit? I don't know how far the plate has to be away from the sprocket. I did the ZX9 hydraulic clutch conversion also. Now I just need to get a starting point for distance from the sprocket. Thanks.
I have also converted to hydraulic, I pushed the cylinder onto the pushrod until it was fully compressed then took my measurements and added 5mm for the spacers - I also made the pushrod adjustable so I can "dial in" the free-play when finally assembled and bled. This all fits under the factory sprocket cover on my "J" motor so "discreet"

All ZX9-R parts for the hydro clutch conversion are on my work workbench.
The next upgrades i want to do to the Z1 make me some trouble. It´s the long and never ending "to do list"!
For me, wrenching time is the problem, due to other (not my) bike cafe racer build and my classic car mods i have to do.....

I have used a Honda CBF1000 cylinder as 2 of the bolt holes line up perfectly and position the cylinder on the pushrod (had to reverse the "feed pipe" and bleed nipple to keep the nipple at the top)

Thanks much. I am in no rush. I would love to go to INTERMOT. There aren't many, if any, Moto shows here anymore. Have fun.

Well I bought a ZX9 one off CheezBay and after I got it, it was  missing the guts (always look at the photos  closely!!) So now  I have to buy a rebuild kit before  I can do the  process that Wookie used. Any and all info is good news to me. Thanks all. I have other problems on my project that I will need all of the guru's knowledge to sort out. I am going to post it on my thread in PROJECTS so I don't jump ya! So if ya have some ideas to help me, please look it up. Also, I'll post pics of my plate and my problem there. Thanks.

Had forgotten to update my new D&G clutch release mount kit pics too.

To answer your request.....
Bolt lenght:

1 bolt =   M6 x 65 mm lenght
1 bolt =   M6 x 70 mm lenght
3 bolts = M6 x 110 mm lenght

Spacer see write up in pics....
