Hey Scirocco,
What are the rearsets on your Z1?  Do the brackets mount to the original mounting points?  What did you use for the shift and brake levers?

They are Tarozzi rear sets made in Italy for the Z1 rear drum brake
They are easy to modify for rear disk brake use.
The brackets mount to the original mounting points, so plug & play.
If you need some detail pics i will made some for you.

Centered the rear wheel and do write ups for the axle spacer.
Next step is to get the chain alignment, just 10 mm offset now.
So the rear sprocket carrier need some time on the lathe and the rubber damper elements have to modify.
The mono shock linkage to the swing arm mount need some adjustments.
My goal is no weldings to the frame, so all parts should be bolt on only.
Sure, thinks (probs) will show up during the progress everytime but should not be a big obstacle for me.

A little more progress today.
Test fitted the new chain to verify the chain lenght and link count.
Adjust the rear caliper with washers to get it centered to the break disk and for the new spacer.
Bolt on rear suspension parts are ready for a test fit.
Only the dog bone linkage to the swing arm need to be 20-30 mm longer.
An adjustable linkage one would maybe an better option to optimize riding high setup.
The time will show.......

Did a quick temporary extension to the rear suspension to get the near final linkage length.
Some old head stock bearing races give me some extra length to adjust the (not final) riding high. I will have to made some temporary brackets with 20, 25, 30 and 35 mm
spacing (center to center) for the bolts (12 mm) to get close to the final linkage length.

On the GSXR linkage every 10mm you add to the linkage will lower the ride height 25mm - I need to "shorten" mine by approx 15mm to get the ride height I want

Made some quick and dirty extensions for the linkage with 30 mm extra length.
Ride high looking good but will made them as excentic adjustable in the final step.
Rear brake caliper need some mashine time, adjustments and spacer.
So to speak the bike is rolling on it´s new wheels and need only some fine tuning.
Mission accomplished = No weldings nessesary to the frame, all parts are bolt on only!

The "bolt in" solution is a good way to circumnavigate the TUV challenges :)
