I know what you mean. I just finished a cafe' build and there were a handful of times where I started to get over-anxious to just build-build-build, but I took it slow, did the full mock-up and I'm very pleased with the results. I'm really looking forward to watching your project progress.
I see up above that you painted your frame rather than having it powder coated. My powder coater took 2 weeks to do my frame and there were many times during that 2 weeks where I was wishing I had just painted it instead. You did a very nice job.

I wil have it powder coated but there is more welding to do.
Exhaust bracket etc which can be done after fitting the rest of te stuff.
First I want to see how it rides and then take it apart again for painting and powder coating.

Almost done with welding.
Last will be the bracket for the exhaust and the rear forth pegs, but that will be done when the bike is together.

Painted, building the bike now to see what more I need to weld or change.
Then take it apart again and powder coat.

A good day!
What do we do when the manual tells you to toque with a special tool which you don't have.
We make our own tools from scratch

Steering damper attached.
Don't know if the authorities are happy with a pointy sticking thing at the front of the bike.
Probably will make a new bracket to turn it around.

More stuff fitted.
What is a better match front fender? The special made one by the PO or the one I bought on flee bay from Suzuki?
Had a little fight with the rear shocks.
Made me grind a piece of the freshly painted rear bridge
But thats the point of fitting everything before powder coating
