Make sure the magnets on the pulser are mounted correctly in regards to north and south polarity, or it won't work or time properly.
Also, make sure to have the brass screws and the steel screws in the correct place. If you use steel screws where the brass ones were, the magnetism will be weak and the ignition signal will also be weak.

So the fun keeps going. I went to drill and tap some seized bolts on the output shat tranny cover and first tink with the center punch cracked the top lobe of the cover where the sprocket guard attaches. Anyone have one of these spare and laying around they want to part with?

I can't help with the part, but for future reference I strongly suggest you get a can of Kroil. An industrial engineer friend told me about it, and it has been a lifesaver to me. This stuff will break the 30+ year bond that seizes fasteners. I have used it on a number of totally stubborn fasteners on my bike that otherwise would have broken off. Let it soak in for about 3 days (applying it again each day) and it will make removing stubborn fasteners possible. It creeps along the fastener through microscopic paths and softens the corrosion. Some gun shops or gun shows carry it, otherwise it can be ordered online from www.kanolabs.com . Here's the product I use (Kroil 1/2 pint (8 oz.) can - $9.50 ea.); one can will last a lifetime. Ed

I didn't. My can came with a thin spout that can be used to squirt/drip the Kroil onto the fastener (see below). I bought my can several years ago, but I assume the spout is still included. Ed

They sell it in a spray can. It's called Aerokroil. I prefer this since you can't always reach what your trying to oil. Makes a bit more of a mess but you get more saturation....

I found mine at a local industrial supply house. Before that I hadn't seen it since AutoZone stopped carrying it.
