Must have been left open to the sun. Are the wires just twisted together? Time for new connectors and crimp fittings.

I have jetted the carbs to what I hope is a good starting point and poked them in. Because the KZP has a push/pull throttle standard I didn't bother to buy a set for the Mikuni's. Oooops, the ones I have a too long and don't have the correct fittings. Worst part is I now have to what for a set of cables to come from the US. Bugger!!!!!!! Specially with Xmas coming, mail takes forever at this time of year. Lucky I am not in a rush. Also have to find a crank breather setup that I like and a inline fuel filter that fits the larger diameter pipe that the old uses.

Been getting a few jobs done again of late. Only getting odd hours here and there to work on the bike so progress has been pretty slow. Would really love to get a whole day left alone in the shed but that might be wishful thinking at the moment. Latest updates............we now have new 530 chain and sprockets fitted. I used a ZRX1200 front sprocket and the rear was a Vortex that I bought for a ZX12R that I sold a few years back and never fitted. It iis geared 17 front and 48 rear which is pretty much stock KZP gearing. Would like to put a smaller rear on but at the moment lack of funds and having a brand new sprocket sitting there meant the decision was made for me!
