Hi, been a member for a while, purchase my first Z1 a few years ago, always wanted one. Its been a slow project, but getting near the end. Going to put up some pics of my progress.

Another back frame section welded on, frame braced, modify shocker mounts for ZRX swing arm and straightened, and expensive exercise at the bike engineers.

Reco cylinder head, Old head had bent valves, big cracks throw spark plug threads into valve seats. Had two crankshaft bearings replace rust damage from seating for 25 years bored cylinders and fitted a cruise image piston kit from ebay, new timing chain, chain rollers Ape chain tensioner,new clutch assembly, sand blasted cases myself, painted engine with VHT satin black case paint, new polished covers.

If it's taching too high at speed because of that 16" rear wheel, you can switch to a 16 tooth counter shaft sprocket from the stock 15.

Pics, with ZRX swingarm, Bandit wheels and forks, not sure if there is enough steering lock with suzuki triple clamp, after modifying the steering stop to prevent forks hitting tank?

I've modified a Mitsubishi trans cooler to work as a engine oil cooler, hope it doesn't restrict air flow to the head.
still not sure about that steering lock? May look for a triple clamp with a bigger offset for more lock, and keeping
forks away from tank, any suggestions?

i believe the steering lock is only going to be a problem on low speed turnarounds in the road and such.
