There will be minor damage to the aluminum but some coarse steel wool or 400 grit sandpaper should do the trick.
Just be sure to replace the masters gasket/diaphragm before repaint.
As for the spots in the tank,just tell everyone they're bullet holes......

I'll also make sure my spare tank is free of rust then change it out maybe. Then I can clean and paint the existing one
I'm thinking if going solid black in everything, unless the wife has some other idea
I'm also going to integrate the turn signals into the fairing, in place of the police lights that were there.

rear brakes dont work, had no fluid, I filled it up, but it still does nothing, I'm hoping to figure that out tomorrow maybe. does it have to be running for the blinkers?
no place really local for plugs, so I will have to order some, in the meantime I pulled them and just cleaned them a bit, not sure what that will do for it
for the 86 I went and stripped some more stuff off, decided to drain the oil, the oil plug came out fine but the filter bolt will not budge, any suggestion?
