If not already done, would sniff-test the crankcase and examine the oil supply to assure that no gasoline entered the crankcase and contaminated the oil.

Good Fortune! :)

With it being a pain in the rear to get the carbs off with the factory airbox, I bought UNI pods. My original airbox boots were dry and hard. New boots were almost $120. The set of carbs I had bought from ebay had a dynojet jet kit. So that will help on getting it tuned. I got PK82's because they are all black. Mirrors have been my biggest challenge on picking some out. The originals are odd shaped around the mirror. I went to a bike shop today and found a set of Bikemasters that are for a Ninja. They are a little sleeker looking and have a cover over the stem. My used windscreen came in today too.

Today I got in my TK 27 carbs with a stage 3 dynojet kit in them. I bolted them on and installed my new UNI pods. The bike runs waaaay more strong. Pretty surprising for a 30 year old bike. I rode it around a little this evening and it seems great. So here it is all mocked up with a lot of ebay used and new parts. Now its ready to be taken apart and the frame sent to the powdercoater. I still need to buy the base paint but everything else is here other than the Kerker header. It won't be in for about a week.

When I was in the USAF a buddy of mine had a GPz 1100 that was the same color. The only difference was he added the lower chin spoiler to his. Those style GPz's have always been some of my favorite bikes. Great looking bike you've got there.
