Thanks guys, I'm going to leave the stud in. My rearsets that I got from Les Holt utilize this stud. I figure it been in there so longe it won't come out without some help. If it starts to move I will just put a small tack on the inside of the frame to keep it from coming out.

I'd shave the bushing flush with the frame. 1/4" would be enough clearance. B)

Feeling disappointed, the hydraulic clutch conversion was an epic fail. Either the master or the slave cylinder will not push the rod to operate the clutch. :S .

The master cylinder is huge and brand new so it should not be the issue. If I take the master off the push rod it will extend but only a 1/4" at a time. Not sure where to start other than to buy a new one or just pay for the conversion sold on Z1

So of course the bike is still not streetable. I am switching back to the cable drive for now.

Bummer. Sorry to here that. Any idea whats the problem? Is the resevoir big/small enough? Is it a problem with the spacing?
(Mine is still in bits. Still havent solved the stripped thread on the casing.)

No idea, at this point I don't know how much money I am willing to sink into it. I used a Slave Cylinder off of a Suzuki 1000 because it was 2 bolts. Not sure if it is the Master Cylinder or the slave. M.C. is brand new and certainly big enough. For now it is going back to cable operation so I can get some ride time in. Although, we are getting a crap ton of rain this winter in Arizona. Better than snow I guess.

I was hoping you had yours done.

No,as I said ,mine is still in bits. Ive made a real mess of drilling out the hole in the casing so i have to sort that before I can mount the plate and work out the spacing. Im also not happy with the plate (thinking of cutting a new one). Im not looking to get on the road until spring/summer anyway so ive plenty of time to get it sorted, though Ive still got a ton of other stuff to do.
Anyway,if it works in the same way as a hydraulic brake, then the master and slave need to match.Mine should be ok as theyre both from the same ZXR but you have different parts . Maybe the master is too big, giving less pressure? (or is it the other way around??) Could you find/borrow one from a Suzuki 1000 Just to try It,see what happens?

Bummer. How much throw does the slave have as opposed to the master? They should be equal.

Smaller master, easier lever effort. Kind of why if you use a 14mm master in a dual setup it locks up too easy.

10-12mm seems normal ish for conversions

Unless I'm not understanding correctly, you said the slave cylinder will move 1/4"? I don't think the stock pusher has more travel than that, does it?

Hopefully it's a bleeding issue...maybe air in the lines?

Cold and windy here. Supposed to be back in the 80's in a couple days. Crazy desert weather. :S
