Like the Phoenix which rises from the ashes for rebirth, so will the Phoenix Fighter!
That resurrection began today.
99 Gixxer with USD forks
98 Gixxer swinger
A quick comparison :woohoo:
I'm so flipping excited right now!
I will get some mock up pictures up soon! There is so much work to be done in the next 6 months so she is ready for the rally in August.

StreetfighterKz wrote: Sorry to see your bike in such sad shape. Just in case you didn't know, the front end is either a Gsxr750W ('94-95) or a Gsxr1100 which stopped being made in 1998. And the swingarm is a Gs1100E item with a Gsxr7500/1100 rim.

Doug thank you for the information I did not know I don't know how you know all that information just by looking at them. I bought the front and the two wheels from a salvage yard was on a drag bike project. they told me they were 99 forks I didn't know how to identify them. the swingarm I knew about I bought that separately off of ebay a few months ago. Again thanks for the information though. unfortunately that takes me out of the AllBalls bearing swap opportunity.

mdouglas71 wrote: Damnnn, your bike was really badly hurt. Excited to see how it rises from the ashes. btw, if that was you who was riding when you wrecked, I'd definitely suggest getting some gear man. ATGATT you never know when someone ( not you ) might fuck up and you'll need a jacket to prevent road rash. Check out www.motorcyclehouse.com for reasonable priced jackets. Ebay is also a great place to find deals.
Mdouglas71,
It looks worse than it is. No frame damage. I could have just replaced the stock forks and front wheel and it would have been right back on the road.
I was geared up, if I wasn't I would not be able to ride any more. It happened in Idaho when I was transferring the flag. Had a deer jump out in front of me mid corner. By the time I avoided him there was not enough corner left the get the bike back on course. They had just chip sealed the road the month prior so there was excess gravel on the edge, my tire hit that gravel and that was all she wrote. The front tire hit a 8X8 post used for guard rail a day tacoed the front wheel and bent the forks.
What is important here is that I got to walk away because I had full gear on.

I would like to get some opinions on my custom integrated brake light blinker. I have found some that fill the whole okay but they don't quit it for me. Here is what I'm thinking
The RED KZR will be tail light/brake the arc on the outside will be split in half for blinkers. Ideally I would like to make it out of aluminum but I may have to fiberglass it instead.
