The beauty of clear is you can just scuff it up and spray more until you are satisfied. Looking good!

I was trying not to rant about it. There is dirt in the actual paint. I did not paint it because I just don't have the compressor for it, and continued to get orange peel in the primer. So I decided to pay to have it painted. The guy I had paint it had a couple of cars outside that had nice paint jobs and he had a really nice spray booth and the price was right. I had him lay the base coat so I could have the pinstripes and and the badges applied, both are vinyl. He did not bother to paint the underside of the fenders and left a big spot where he taped the rear fender down with a big primer spot. I told him that I can't have primer showing under the fender, sorry. So I made him a deal that I would pay him extra for the labor to "finish" the undersides. He had also stated at first that he would get the dirt specs out, he didn't. On top of not getting the dirt specs out he FUBAR'd my pinstripes on the left bottom and just re-striped over it. Keep in mind that it is vinyl so now one strip is twice as thick as the others and he did not get it layed exactly of the top of the old. Then he had the balls to tell me that he did not know where or how the stripes got damaged.

In the old days I would have lost my cool and beat on him until I felt I got my moneys worth. I have grown up since then. So instead I trashed him in every review I could find to leave.

Anyway, thats my wining for the day. Its not a show bike so after I get her running again and get some miles in I will pull it all off and do it again myself.

Yeah, dealing with Pros can suck. They're the best, just ask them. You can make a water trap out of PVC and hang it on the wall. I just use rattle cans now but that's what I use to have. Blue cases? Now that's different.

Ya, that's the idea. It was way to much work to polish them and I did want to split the cases. I wanted to powder coat it but again required splitting cases. I cleaned it, then coated it with POR15 engine enamel. Not quote the same color as the body parts but it's close. Glad you like it Steve.

The 1X cams are good but the 2X are better for mid/top end. I missed out on a set but what I have works for me, now anyway. The 1X is supposed to improve low end but on these bikes it still doesn't come on the "pipe" until 5/6000 RPM.
Be happy with what you got Steve. B)

I wanted 2Xs but I got a killer deal on these with my 1075 kit. If they don't work out I'll swap them for a new set of Web Cams.

They'll work. They're "drop ins", you might want to get some more aggressive cams later, sell these and ride the piss out of it.

Thats the plan Steve. I go back and forth when it comes to completing the project. On one hand I say to myself, I've done so much work just do it all before it hits the road. After 2 1/2 years the devil side tells me F*** it get it on the road and make tweaks later.

I think I have decided to listen to the
