Alright! I can't wait till this is done! I want to ride so bad.

Just a quick update. Got most of the motor cleaned up and some chrome polished.

1980 kz1000g 1105 34mm Mikuni flat slides Kerker exhaust custom paint stock ignition(Dyna 2000 soon) Accel coils and wires stock cams w/ heavy springs for more rpm. My 2nd 1000.

I want to thank a few people that has been a great help on this build

First I'd my fiancé Dusty for the confidence, Ramtough 63 for the paint, and Les Holt for the great advice
And kz10006(Brian) for the frame.
Also a couple other people really important to me,I will announce them later in the build!

Here is a few pics of the header back from Nitroplate. Note it is just a coating and shows the defects and not filled like with chrome plating.

Thanks. The g motor uses the Mk 2 cases but the fuelie head is OK. Mine is built with a 73-78 head which doesn't have the emissions on it. Flows better with the j model port matched intakes and exhaust ports blended and smoothed. IMO. Good luck on your build.

Did some more cleaning and detailing on the brakes today. Talk about a pita!

Still have more to do, but it will be done soon.

Made some progress the last few days. Now I'm just waiting on parts from Z1,Z1 parts.net, and Stucco.
Should all be here Thursday.
