So, onto the hunt for the gearing..... With a suggestion from my friend Leon (AKA. 531blackbanshee) I made use of the gearing commander website and came up with 18t front and a 37t rear, all tied together with a 530 chain. Of course with my 180 rear tire I had to off-set the sprocket, so I picked up this shiny 5/8 off-set.

Also, I had a new sprocket cut for the rear.

your machinist did a really nice job on that brake stay lug.

you inspired me with the fz arm so much that i talked a couple other guys into using them and bought one for myself   .

im running 18/38 gearing on the 80z1r and like it real well.

still leaves good, but will roll out the highway

I started tinkering with the tank I picked up, still not knowing what it came off of exactly? It sat a bit high and touched on the original tank perches, so I pulled out the old ball peen and started tapping till I got it to sit somewhat where I liked it. Got a chunk of 3/8 rod and welded it on to the frame to suit the mounts on the tank. It sits where I like it on the front now, just a bit low in the back. I was kind of going for a retro/steam punk kind of look so I brushed up the tank and put a quick coat with a spray bomb on the sides. I also took the wire brush to the edges of the paint after to give it a bit more of a worn look, not sure if I'll keep it yet but we'll see. Bonus as well the original tank will still sit perfectly if desired.

Also, in the last picture you can see I used the CBR954RR rear sets, utilizing one of the original foot peg studs, and welding on one other to suit. I thought it turned out good, and the strength seems fine for me being 215lbs. The stance is about perfect as well. Going to have to relocate the side stand and do some shift linkage re-configuring though.

Your Fu is strong! Shinko 009's. Seemed to have good reviews for the most part, and a very good price as well.

There are few products that outperform the price Shinko is one of them iMHO.
loved my rear tire so bought one for the front thought I had issues with it wanted to blame my wore out shocks
walked in the building one day to take her out for a ride and the sticky weights were laying next to the wheel on the floor guess the heat got to them. Took it for a spin and wow next thing you know slight vibration and perceived get what you pay for attitude completely vanished while only having a few thousand miles on them I will buy again
when needed
and again LOL
