love the stance  !

that thing looks tuff.
a z1 tail shortend and kicked up to match the sub-frame line would look real cool.

what tail and seat are going with?

Hmmm.... that image kepps coming up poorly. WTF?!? Im not sure what tail piece im gonna run. I like the duck tail, and the zephyr has a similar piece. Im definately keeping it old school. I may make a custom tail piece like what zed1015 did with his, but at the same time I'd feel bad for the ol lady. both bikes would have a solo seat :) On a positive note, just eyeballing it, I think the sprockets will line up perfectly B) B) wont know for sure til i get some. any suggestions on which to get? I wanna get a lil more top end, to keep the revs down at highway speeds.

looki'n real good mate!

i just picked up the same R6 rear end on Flee bay for $20.50AUD!

im still using the R1 swinger in mine tho, not sure what ill put the R6 on.....

it was just so cheap!

mate i dunno if this will have too much of a modern look for you, but it might help keep the mrs happy too, what about a ZRX tail?

i rekon i tlooks ok with the tank you are using.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationi was cruising ebay looking for a zedbutt to try and talk you into, and ran into this cafe style seat for your model.

thought i would show you the pic.

i have seen the kz650 tail used and look pretty cool.

a wrenchmonkees type tail piece would look good to but would require some frame choppin and fabbin to make it work right on your frame.

lots of different choices really.

shoot the zrx seat and tail jarrad showed wasn't offensive and still has a real seat.

keep us posted,

Yea I like all of those, Im not opposed to a more modern look, I just think a "crotch rockety" tail section would look a bit out of place, especially with a round tank. at this point, that stuff is kind-of the least of my thoughts. and i figured Ill have to do some fab work back there, even with just a simple kz ducktail. right now im working on upper the shock mount. Ive got some 3/8" plate im gonna make a bridge out of. then I think ill have to order some tabs if I cant re-use the ones from the center-stand. It all seems to fall into place fairly well. the linkage goes right up to those tabs and it centers the shock nicely. hopefully have it in by friday.

I have been trying to decide where to go with my project. That wrench monkees bike has given me some ideas. Do they sell the seat/tail section?
