Well, things never quite go as planned. The tank took a little more work than I thought. Spent a little more than I wanted as well. Bought a new wiring harness, too many prongs in the connectors corroded. Tank and covers will be painted tomorrow, can't get decals put on until next Tuesday after the Holiday week end. Here are some pics though of the rough solder job of the new tank brakets. I had them water jet cut and I predriled and tapped them before the tinning.

What kind of solder did you use?
Ive had issues in the past with the flux causing issues down the road when doing lead bodyworking, make sure you clean all the flux out of there really good B)

Canadian Tire in Canada sells a tinning flux and metal work solder. After I sandblasted the rusty emblem depressions out there was a hole into the tank. So the solder filled this in as well. I washed the tank down again after all the melted flux ran all over the tank. But the next morning the tank was completly covered in rust. So I re-sanblasted the whole tank again and my painter buddy Peter prepped it and primed it, and fixed a couple small dents as well. Couldn't paint today, Tomorrow hopefully.
