Well it's going to take alot of elbow grease to get her lookin good.
I think I willkeep this one for a while. Might buy a goldwing or venture and chop it down to a nice nakid cruiser.

I'm 52 now but was a motorcycle mechanic in the early 80's. Over the past few years I have resurrected 5 or 6 bikes.
Keeps the mind active, and diverts stress.
I will add more pics when done. Hopefully in about 3-4 weeks.

My buudy Peter the Painter is one of the best in Southern Ontario. People from all over come to him. No short cuts ever. Been painting since he was 14 in Slovakia. Absolute master bodyman and painter.

Drilling out tank emblem plates and sandblasting.
I will make new plates, drill them tap them than solder them back in once it is all sanblasted. there is no way you can properly paint this tank with all the rust behind the emblem, it will bubble eventually.
If all else fails, JUMP!

The brake cables are all red, stainless, no cover. They are made in Toronto by Apex.
they cost like $75 for all 3. the web sight tells you how to order them. They are on Ebay as well.
The Ignition wires are MSD 8.5 mm I just found them on ebay, 6 ft roll for $20 i think. Also the red boots $5 about.
Sorry i missed your question. I didn't realise it was on the 2nd page. I like your idea of the nakid goldwing. I saw one a couple years ago in Michigan (Battlecreek) with the Budwiser painted on the tank, it looked pretty cool all stripped down.
