I have had this bike together for several months. I rode it around here but have had no desire to ride. Maybe the wreck I had is got me gun shy.

Any way. A member here sold me a great set of wire wheels and I am going to remove the 900B front wheel and the 18" rear and go back to wire wheels.

My Lawyer stopped by and dropped off the owners manual for the "72" and a wrench for the tool kit.

He is going to Ohio this year. He will bring a BSA scrambler type bike.

He is searching for a H2 in a nearby community. If he can buy it I can sell it! ;)

I am waiting for the transport for the "72" 900 so I can move around in my shop. I have already out growed it. Roy

I am having a new tire mounted on a very nice wire wheel I got from Brian. He has also helped me out on several other parts.

The gas tank off of the A4 I bought last weekend looks new inside and I will use it on the bike.

It is cold here this morning and it is going to take a effort to get me going.

We had a warm day here and I got out in the shop and installed the wire wheels. I ordered new brake shoes and sprockets from Z1E and also got them lined out.

I am having some trouble on the front rotors binding. I installed a frontend from a 900B and dual rotors from same bike. I installed the rotors from the 900B on the wire wheel and the wheel doesn't want to turn.

I compared rotor from the A4 before installation and it seemed to have the same depth as the 900B.

I guess I will remove the dual setup and try the single.

Maybe Patton can give me some input here as he has a 900B.

It will soon be a year since I started this project.

This may be irrelevant, but the FSM supplement for KZ900-B LTD says , "... To reduce weight, the discs these calipers grip are 5mm thick, compared to 7mm for the standard single disc...." [with 15.9mm master cylinder compared to 14mm for the standard model].

Are the pads dragging against the disc?

Good Fortune! :)

The pads are touching the disk. You can see the diffrece in the width of the disk of the two models.

I had the axle too tight.

I changed out the disks for the stock setup. I only have one front brake splitter for a one brake setup and I can't find it. I need to clean the shop out so I guess now is a good time. Roy

Rotor thickness doesn't matter as far as pads go,it definitely makes a difference in the unsprung weight though B)

I actually rode the bike today. Just a short ride. I need to install a voltage regulator tomorrow.

I ordered a combo regulator / rectifier . I have a gas tank being cleaned at the moment. I guess I will be sanding and painting the body work next.

This bike should bring a nice profit at the meet in Ohio.

Here is a video. The sound is bad.
