Have never seen an engine put into a frame that's sitting on the ground like that.
I can imagine how hard it must have been getting the wheels on.
Laying her on her side can make some of the work easier.
Some have put the engine on it's side on the floor, and then put the frame on over top of the engine and bolted it up.
I've always had the wheels on when ever I've removed/installed an engine, bike sitting upright.
My bike layed on it's side to do some oil pan work, but can be useful for other repairs:

That is how I had to do it by myself. I couldn't do that with the wheels on though. That's why I had to do things a little backwards.
Nothing really to report. A lot of parts have come in. Just waiting on free time to make the drive to pick them up. One of the downfalls of living in the woods with no physical address.
But, vick074 and JEFFG1 have given me color inspiration. Kawasaki green with all black wheels. Also going to blow it apart again and do the frame gloss black. I have some VHT gold caliper paint handy. Can't decide on going gold with the calipers and discs, or black calipers and gold discs. I have the calipers broken down with rebuild kits handy. Just been staring at them for a few days trying to decide. Suggestions?

Well the diameter is bigger for the left spacer on the mag wheels. and also that side is thicker. I got a complete set up for a '80 KZ550C and compared the spacers to my B1 spacers. the left side is larger and bigger diameter and the right side spacer is shorter. You will most likey need to find the spacers for the model you sorced the wheels from or your seal on that side wont seal. Check the parts diagram and see for yourself that the seal is different from mag drive hub to spoke.

That's what I figured, I was thinking I could get away with this though because the spacer snugs tight inside the seal. Just got a C rear axle for cheap with the right spacers on it. I hate waiting on parts.
