I'm going to pick one of these to mount on top of the fender. Which looks best?

I'd say 1 for on top of the fender.

If you were going under the fender I'd say 2.

I was leaning towards 1 myself, but it's pretty small so I'd probably put two of them side by side.

I also like 2 and others have picked it, but I don't think under the fender would look right. If it was above the fender I'd lose the plate mount.

Speaking of which I haven't decided the best spot for the plate, I've narrowed it down to sideways on the chain guard or behind the fender, like a continuation of it. I don't want to clutter up the tail.

What if I did two number 1s on either side of the fender and doubled them as blinkers? I've never seen a metric with red signals but HD's do it all the time. I wonder though if a center is required on a bike?

Edit- Some newer Harleys only have the two tails like I described, no center. Seems like the way to go.

I'm running with it. I found matching amber lights for the front.

So goodies on the way. The above lights and all this:

14x4.5" fender x2

Grips

ZX14 front axle

Trailer light converter. Easiest way to combine separate turn and stop signals.

636 triples

07 CBR600RR calipers

True Frankenbike. At this point I have parts from 9 different makes/models.

dmarble, for tail lights both lights will need to have dual filaments to be used as stop/turn/tail lights. There is only 2 wires comming from the lights. If the body does not ground thru the mounting stem and one wire is the ground they will not work for all three functions (tail and combined stop/turn with the converter).

They are advertised as dual filament (fronts too) so they must ground through the mounting stud.

Well crap. Turns out my forks are not 2010 ZX10 but 2011 Ninja 1000. So my newly arrived front axle does not fit. I need one from a Ninja 1000, 07-11 Versys, 10-11 ZR1000 or 05-06 ZR750.

Not many pictures but I made some good progress. Finished the shock brackets and got it all primed. Slash cut the exhaust while waiting for the primer to dry, took about 5" out, right before the last baffle. Sounds much better.

I finally figured how I wanted to mount the seat. I want to keep it quick release. Am putting a cam lock in the center instead of on the side like KZs. The stock lock won't fit but a toolbox type will. So I ran to Lowes for a lock and got in a collision. Yay. At the hospital now having my 8mo pregnant wife checked over, good so far.

Got my seat lock figured out. The seat side bracket needs to be redone, it latches but I put a locator stud on it which will go on a frame tab to prevent lateral movement and it's too close to the frame right now.

The cylinder isn't just popped through the tube, I welded in a washer to give a flat surface to snug up against and smoothed it all out. I left the back rounded and am debating whether to do the same.
