You might want to ask about installing them backwards as the lip is bigger.
Also extra breathers if you are going for a bigger rebuild.
I run 3 breathers and the cam caps backwards.
Older motors start to push more out of the breather.

Congrats RT! You got her back on the road, woohoo! Lookin' good.

Don't sweat the cam plug. I have one of four that always wants to spit the plug. Forward, backward, tried a different plug, and they always want to come out on that same spot. I just clean it up real good with the acetone, and then glue in the new plug with some Yamabond 4. Lightly bolt the valve cover in place, but not fully tight. After the sealer sets up over night, I can tighten the cover down fully and I'm good to go.

this is the way to do it. let the glue set before torquing or u will squeeze it out. i feel the type of glue isnt as important as the procedure. but Yamabond,3bond, rtv, all work well.
This is a common problem.

Thanks Mark appreciate help and thanks I am loving it hopefuly will get some riding time on it this week before i put the old lady on the back anyway
