i have done some busa to kz stem swaps to make the front end fit your bike.
here is one that i did for kzr member roynor in norway.

and rslingshot gave us an awesome tutorial about using busa swingarms and extending them as well as under-bracing them.

you may also look at ramtoughs thread to see how i modded a zx636 swingarm to fit his kz.those swingarms go for pretty cheap on ebay and are a nice fit also.

pm me if you need some info/help.

531blackbanshee: Is it a whole lot to do or mostly to lathe a stearing steam to correct dimensions? I might need some pointer to be able to pul that of, i've started a lath/milling/CNC coruse and I might be able to do it in the manual lathe machine, but it depends on the level of work needed, I've just attended for 3 weeks and isn't to far into it yet.

My plan is to use the original front fender, so I'll fabricate some kind of support for that, and i might need something to protect the fork inner tubes after the original fender is gone, was thinking of mine fork boots :3

I'll see how cheap I can get the parts and take a desicion wether or not to get it after that.

Thanks for the thread tips! :D

Getting them in isn't too bad - take them up one piece at a time. Getting them out - hmmmmmm; well, I guess you just disassemble them and take them out one piece at a time. No problemo. :P

The first part of this clip comes to mind after reading that. Nice collection of bikes by the way I
really like the looks of that Yamaha SRX-6 without the tank.

Haha, yeah it could seem like it would be a bit of a problem. But the buidling is actually facing a hill on one side so the attic has a door towards it, so with a bit of man handling (getting them up a 8 step outdoor staircase up the hill) it goes. The easy thing is getting them down and in, a bit trickier getting them out and up :3

Tomorrow I'll continue taking some pictures of parts that I'm going to try and sell, also gonna collect some cash from a neighbour for renovating on of his bikes rear brakes...also gonna try and convince him to let me do the front one, all for the good of getting money for the Hayabuse front and rear end :P

Got some maintainence left on the XZ550 Vision, the other week me and my dad figured out that the stator was fried so that had to be changed (luckely there was a working one in the spare engine we got), there is some lubing left to do, might check the valve clerance, then a exterior cleanup. Pondering if I'm going to try and sell the bike in a couple of months, might try and pick up a Yamaha FZ750 or a GSX-R 750 (if I can fins a cheap and clean one, which is getting harder and harder these days).

Also been thinking if to sell or keep the Honda CX. I initially bought it bacause it was cheap and I was hoping to get a 50-75% profit of selling it later on, but then I had thoughts of keeping it. I guess time will tell what to do with it.

Talked with the guy with the Hayabusa front- and back end, seems like a good deal, espescially after talking with another guy erlier today. The swing has an Öhlins shock and everything except the tires seemed to be in great condition. I eaven haggled down the price about 8% over the phone so I got some gas money, since the will be a 600-700 mile (US miles, not metric) total to get the stuf :silly:

The fork:

He also had TWO tuned GPZ1100 engines, both taken up to about 1160 (1168?) with porting donw and diffrent camshafts, one of them had a blown valve in the combustionchamber so that cylinder/piston looked like shit.

Ha had a set of Mikuni 33 smoothebored I would be tampted to get as well, If I had the money. Dunno what he would ask for them though.

He had some spare cams as well, some that was marked "Norris" 407 AJ and 406 AJ, any idea about these? Other markings on some other ones was CWC, VHR 042, 888 N62N, and so on...since I don't know what lift and duration they are I prolly wont get any, not now at least.

I'm either going up there this weekend or the next, so there might be some pictues lined up after that. Might sell mu Yamaha TR1 XV1000 to my brother, that would free up some cash, even though he would pay me in 6 diffrent installments.

That's all for now.

Just got a text from the guy with the Hayabuse parts saying he'd gotten cold feet about the deal which is a bummer...as looking forward of getting the parts. I sen't him a text that I hold onto the money for a couple of weeks if he changes his mind...but I'll presume he won't so I'll have to start looking for another set.

Kinda bummed out so I'll just call it a night.
