There isnt much "blending" going on.
I had planned on one piece but i did 3 instead. The bias of the weave angles towards the center line on the sides.
With the scallops and some keen airbrush shading it will mask the seams and give it a cool look.
Not even half done with the custom parts.
After seeing your sssa arm i started making a jig for a tube single sider, that might end up on this bike eventually

It was smart to orient the fabric on the sides at +-45, as it aids the fabric in contouring to more complex or compound curves. It would be more of a challenge to overlay the entire tank in a single piece. How many layers of fabric did you use? Depending on the fabric manufacturer and cloth weight, there can be some gaps in the weave, though your cloth looks tight. Keep the pics coming. I still want to see close up shots of the tank and tail pieces.

The top 2 screws need to be trimmed but the bottom ones are counter sunk just right
