Tell us a little about how you did the wheels. They look great!

sorry for not replying guys. things have been hectic. well, and we're finally having a summer here in washington so ive been spending my time either hiking, riding one of my bikes, working on this project, or working on my boys bikes... cant spend sunny days on the internet! haha.

things are getting close! im startin to get excited and the list of things to do is getting shorter and shorter!

heres where the tank and fenders are as of today, primed and wet sanded. just waiting on my shipment of intercoat clear and kandy lime so i can get some paint on em. got a pretty good paint scheme planned out in my head, dont want to disclose this information, you'll just have to wait n see!

wiring harness is all trimmed down and partially run, still trying to work out my battery box situation so the back half is just hangin out. going to get some crush washers tomorrow and then ill be able to set up the brake.

im gettin a little nervous since the day is near to try firing her up again =). hopefully my rebuild on the carbs went well, atleast to the point where my neighbor across the street can do some quick fine tuning.

Motor Head wrote: That is one sharp paint scheme, is it all rattle can? Sure looks nice and clean.

it sure is. ive had good luck in the past with the vht engine enamel its hard to work with now becuase its still soft, but once the bike runs a bit and cools off that shits great!

Topper wrote: Tell us a little about how you did the wheels. They look great!

the wheels were an absolute bitch! definately will not tackle that again unless im replacing or removing the spokes. not ness hard but time consuming. basically just prepped the wheels for paint. layed the white, taped off every single spoke and layed black. was planning at first to have the hubs be black along with the rim, but oviously once i had taped the rim side of the spoke i decided it would look fine like that =). im acually glad i got lazy because i think it does look better with the rear brake drum all whited out!

its sex drippin on the pavement when we ride!

Haha old school! That was my first burnout ever, and at this point in my weight loss over 60lbs ago! That bike is the streetfighter that's posted earlier on this thread.

whad up!

house of kolours orion silver that i had left over from my zx10

masked off, stars layed out, first layer peeled off

the layers progress, time for kustom paint lime kandy on the tank and fenders

before clear

rear fender

cant wait to get some pics in the sun! so stoked on how the parts turned out. 3 coats kandy on the fenders and main body of tank, 6 on the darker stars.

now i really want to get this bike running!
