i got the other glove installed this evening. tomm morning i will try blasting my oil pan cover. i will have before and after photos for you all.

i am a little worried that i may have to refresh my jug. i just had my head done by pit stop so thats good, but is there a way to make sure i will have good compression from my pistons and sleeves? would i have to remove each piston, measeure, and measure the inside of the sleeves? how do i go about this? and yes, i have a manual.

you need to measure the piston @ 90 degrees to the wrist pin down at the bottom of the skirt.then measure the inside dia. of the cylinder and do some subtracting and whamo you got the clearance :lol: .
i always measure each piston and hole .i also measure the bore(i.d.)in three or four places.to check for egg and taper.
a set of calipers can get you close but you really need inside and outside micrometers.
a dial bore guage is the best.

the pan took me 4 hours. not the most fun thing i have done today, but the most rewarding. oh wait, cleaning my sons explosive shit diaper was the worst thing i did today, and the the most rewarding...:blink: :laugh:

now that i think of it with all the stopping and so on it took about 1 hour of constant work all together. i took many breaks.
