1980 LTD 1000

Well Ive been busy. Powder coated the head light bucket,gauge buckets.front master cylinder,front and rear calipers,top of triple tree and the clutch handle base. Going in the morning to get a bigger oven to do the stuff that wont fit in my toaster oven . I got the front rim polished up and the fork lowers. Carbs are clean and ready to bolt on but I have lots of cleaning on the motor before that happens. Gas tank is clean on the inside but I still need to finish the bodywork. I was going to try to paint it back like stock but I think I'll just go with black for now.I'm no painter but I aint skeeerd I just dont want to f it up and have to do it over.

I think thats all the pics I have at this time but I have a question. I'm going to paint the frame so what do I do about the vin #? tape around it.

the motor will clean up nice..or you can do partial black outing like a MKII A-3 motor to cover the fin areas....cases ect and just polish the covers..

Got my tires the other day and I got the itch. I'm fighting putting it back togeather just to take it for a ride I'm going to fight the temptation. I havent ridden it yet but I did start it so it will run. I dont think I'm going to paint the motor I'm just going to get as clean as i can. In the morning I'll get started on the rear rim and try to finish up the tank. I've been working on this every weekend from day one I need to take a day off and go fishing the flounder are running
