hey, thanks for the replies guys. I just read the manual and realized it will be easy to install the cams, check clearances, pull the cams back out, change shims as necessary, then install the head, cams, time cams etc....oh wait, will I be able to turn the cams with gears without using the crank and timing chain?

Whatever you do, Just Make Sure You Do 1 Cam In The Head At A Time!
no bent valves!

And Push Down On The High Side Of The Cam When You Start The Cap Bolts!
no stripped cap bolt threads!
