you can scoot along pretty well with a 130..the 16 ..like said gives an appearance of being a little wider and is called an mt90 often....i notice a difference in handing running a 16 rear and it is what i grew up with so for me it is right...others notice no difference or call it worse......some folks put wider tires on stock 18 rears but the rim pinches and changes the factory intended profile for a 140-150 ect...egging the profile...

a stock rear 18 width and a really good set of avon roadriders and you are gonna be flying....the big back tire club is it's own separate argument and as you said is a lot of work to the rear end and changes...



p.s when lifting by the kick starter,the other had will naturally reach for the exhaust area of the valve cover to help balance the load and thats how i lift 90% off the weight and a helper steers the other side....

HA that looks like my bike when i first got it only mine wasnt as sexeh:D

Ok, need some advise from those of you who have gone before me into this frame stripping process, ready to drop off and have narrowed it done to 2 media, plastic or glass? Any and all advise is appreciated.

I use recycled glass, good paint adhesion, strips nicely.

Finally have time to post more pics, pieces stripped and ready for paint this week,ordered chassis bearings, wheel bearings and seals, some paint and Zinc plating kit from Eastwood.
