i'll probably pull the bowls, clean them and see what he's running and go from there

one of these times i pull the bowels i'm gonna taker a screw and match it with stainless from the hard ware store...then buy a handfull...if it's not me torquing the tiny phillips heads a tad then the p.o has a few boogered up too....

try fastenal or some place like that,much cheaper for fasteners B)

Got the oil changed today. Amongst all the sludgy, gritty mess I managed to find a oil cap, bolt, and filter :ohmy: lol. In the picture all the parts were the same color as the pool of gas on the left hand side...which was yellow when I started.

got home this evening and found an interesting white package sitting on my door step. opened it up and found (gasp) carb intake boots. Now all I gotta do is get mine off and send mine to you ;) Thanks again tri B)

you may find yours are okay...i tried using some black high heat silicone to skim them and installed on another project...and when i went to borrow those intake boots the other day,i saw how feeble adding gasket goo is......

i had seen folks say to just clean both surfaces weel and install the boots dry but tightened well...that is the right way ...there should never have been any paper gaskets on your bike????

I figure they took them off once before and thought to have them on there than to not. I take it by some of the contents of the package you go out to Laguna Seca quite a bit ;).

Also got my new exhaust in. Not too bad considering the price and age. The header part is burnt pretty bad but I think it's salvageable, chrome is pitted, scratched quite a bit.

just ordered coils, wires, and points and condensers from Z1E should be here sometime next week. Gonna have next weekend cut out for me
