Hey, I recognise that top clamp. It made a brief stop at my place on the way to Florida. I'm glad that you can use it on your bike. Sweet project! You're making me want a GPZ.

Yea Mark, I couldn't use it. The spacing and offset were wrong for my 95 GSXR front end. I have to stick with my original setup to retain the cable driven speedo. I just bent up some headlight tabs to fit the larger tubes out of 16ga. Check them out in my thread, you might get some ideas. kzrider.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&...it=20&limitstart=520

glad it worked out for you bud

I never tried them on a gpz... is the steering radius affected alot...
it looks like it might not be as reduced as it is on a z1

Been awhile since Ive made any progress. had off a few days so I was able to work on the bike without the wife needing me to go somewhere.got my rearsets tacked on as well as my headlight /guage mount.Ill have a buddy weld it up pretty with a tig when everything is ready.made the headlight bracket out of 3/16 solid round bar and bent it to shape.I welded that to some 3/8 in.cromymoly tube bored to fit the bolts on the front end.I guess the next thing will be to figure out wiring and get this bad boy running.

I like it! Are you still fishing for some 34 flatslides? Looks like you need carbs, wiring and to tie up loose ends. You might be on the road this season!

Very small update. finished headlight and tail light mounts. for rear I took a piece of aluminum and bent it to shape lets the light tuck in under the tail but yet stick out just far enough to see from the side.also provides a small tab for signals and plate.in front I made some threaded round stock to mount switch to and made a couple pices of sheet metal cut to shape to mount headlight to.Im trying to keep everything tucked in as tight as possible but theres alot to try and cram in there?heres a couple pics. oh yea got a very nice set of 34 flat slides from a member. thanks Mike.1 more
