Scooter, for my money it doesn't matter if the shock and linkage are mounted off center on your bike. Looking at your picture tells me that they must have been off center on the original application. The two keys here are to get the wheel centered in your frame, and to get that swingarm in as close to the original geometry as possible. What I mean is, as close to the zx-6r geometry. If you could, get a pic of the underside of the swingarm with the linkage installed. It would help to make sure that you don't have a spacer wrong or something else that would push the shock to one side.
