Thank you for the pics and videos.
Sorry to hear that the whole deal turned out to be rip off. But it is always like kids in the toy store when we see a bunch of old bikes. Glad you enjoyed that part at least. ;)
I'd love to have RE5. It is just "different".

Great pics. Sorry about your disappointing ride etc. Hopefully they do something to make it right.

Im ordering 2 seat covers today. One for the mk2 and one for my spare seat.

the only thing i could have done to make an already easy cover swap easier.....would be to have pulled the hinge bolts and set the hinges aside so i could access the little tabs behind them straight on...i was in a bit of a hurry and really knew i should have..i ended up snapping the little triangle behind a hinge that would have bent over and pinned that section of cover on....now i will have to fix that section with a tab one day.....

other than that the cover has even laid down a tad since being in the sun.....they are thin material just like the original, and next time i will check with my hand to feel the foam and see if there are any burrs or chunks popped up...it gets little rough spots when the other cover came off and the new cover shows any little bumps kinda...only you will see em though...

my petcock is leaking in the off position so i must call Z1 ent and order a new rubber diaphragm ...i had to do this last time also.....whole garage smells like gas now....and i had to take my new tank and handle it a bunch to drain it while i wait for shipping....:S

Thanks for the tip on the seat cover. I'll problly do my spare first. IT needs a bunch of work. It's got some rust holes and the edges are a bit rusty in a few spots. I'm planning on cutting out the rotten metal and welding in some new stuff. Then paint the pan and recover. I did this on my 750 twin and it turned out pretty good.

I gave up on my old petcock and put in a pingle. It works very nice. No more leaks.
