my 900...killer old school....fun ride...handles like a dream and is set up perfect for my likes...

neighbor gave me this and just needs a brake cable and some going through...

here is the MKII on my first ride after fighting with all the junk that the owner had screwed with...this ride taught me where i wanna work on next things...so as you can see i have my hands full and really should have the MKII painted and finished by feb and than the 900 ready for anyone who shows for the races....

Ahhhhhh, a nice sunny ride through the redwoods.....Now's the time of year when the weathers nice on the central coast. You're just rubbing salt in the wounds of all the members that have already put their bikes away for the winter

Hey Craig, thanks for posting the pics. For many years I daydreamed about turning my garage into a useable shop and being able to restore cars and bikes. This last year I finally started turning my dream into a reality. The kids are pretty much grown and I managed to eek out some funds out of a meager budget to get started. The garage didn't have lights or power to speak of and I talked my handier friend with home construction / electrical experience into giving me a hand. It was easy as I was always helping them with mechanical repairs on their stuff. I've had the bikes for awhile but didn't really have a great place to work on them.

It's starting slow, but for me the fun is in the transformation process. I've had the bikes for awhile now, and have had lots of time to build them in my head (of course the vision keeps changing) Nice having a spot now where all my tools are collected into the man cave. I had/have a much more extreme vision for the LTD, but I am taking some good advice from the members here and plan for now just to clean her up a bit and get her into good running shape for now.

Later today I plan on starting some diagnostics on known problems and picking one spot to sort out first. I'll keep you posted.

went into the shop for the first time this winter and gave it an organizing....

getting the MKII and A-4 ready to paint...

making a list for Z-1 enterprises for tomorrow...300-400 in just stuff for the MKII than 700 in parts/paint/decals and shipping ...so even with some help the paint job and parts list is going 1100.00 just to get it rolling...

oh well..it should be close...plus the 600 in parts on the table waiting to go on...

drilled out my moriwaki can from it's mid pipe to see how it might look...and while i had the oval jardine can off i popped out the core and took the packing out....big differnece ,smoothbores now are crisp and the bike pulls great,and has a great crackle coming off throttle...much better.....next is the Dyna s plate to replace the dyna III and then the keker....

i have 3 set for the MKII and will send one to a friend for a 1979 luminous blue stock job...and try to paint one in the 1980 a-4 black stock job...i will also attempt to paint the 1976 A4 stock theme on my extra kz900 body set..using my old stcok set as a template for the pinstripes from reproduction decals...500 just for three sets of decals...ouch...oh well...long time coming...
