Thanks Testarosa. I had seen those pins at the store too. They would not have worked with my original design so thats why i didn't get them. I am gonna try these they are very tight as they are meant for a 1/4 inch stud as opposed to a 3/8's. If I see any funny business I will not hesitate to change to the "new style" pins. I could also safety wire them. And yes i just pull the pins and the whole battery tray will drop out of the bottom. I will have a plug that all but the primary wire will go into. So when i drop it down i can just disconnect the battery and unplug the plug. I hope it works out as I plan.

But I also have a million things to do. need to do the rear brakes on the van build a work bench and paint some spot in the house for our christmas party next weekend.

Well the holidays passed.I have put the bike together and I am hoping this is final mock up. I am just kinda picking things off of it and finishing them as I go. I have finished the battery box and tray I also finished the taillight bracket. I drilled several holes in the battery box to lighten it up a bit.

Sweet, it looks like the end of your subframe is vertically in line with your rear axle. Now it's just checking off the details.....I'm a little ways from being where you are, but it's great to see these older hybrids still working towards completion B)

Just a little bit of an update. I have been working on wiring. Thanks Loudvhx for your wiring diagrams. I am still working on figuring out how many wires will go into the battery box area. Once i figure that out then i can order a plug or plugs. But I have made a nice harness for the headlight and turn signals. I also made some new spark plug wires. They are cloth old school style plug wires. I then took apart my gauges and installed some warning lights. Came out pretty slick.

gengomerpyle Thank you for your interest in my thread. I have not had my bike running yet. I received the bike and it had a broken set of cases. I am in the process of building a custom wiring harness. Then I may be able to fire up the beast. I am sure the coils will work well.I am going to be running a Dyna S ignition system.
