Roller bearing..

I was thinking a bushing, which the longer bolt would clamp down on, the bushing would be a slip fit into a peice of round urethene. In the early 80's long travel dirt bikes used a simular deal on the lower side of the chain.

I want to make two. First one I can mail to you, then if it works (you have a running bike to try it on), I;ll make the second for me.

What do you think?

Digital speedo, I would sure like to see a photo.

This weekend I got much done, well much for me, I move slow. Being a perfectionist gets in the way of progress. I cut into the lower bosses of the foot peg bolts like you recommended, looks real tight there. That sucks cause now the powder coat...:S

I also ran some oil cooler lines. I have never been a fan of the way the Japanese do it with two herken lines rubbing parallel beside the motor, so I tried something I have not seen yet.

341 gave me an oil cooler a few years ago, thanks Troy!!

What do you think?

Is this the Speedo? Will she install it?

Seriously,

I have questions.

1. how do you wire the tach assuming the Vapor has one?

2. how was the quality overall?

3. have you tried their rectifier?

i also have a vapor on my z1r,it gets the tach input from either the post on the coil(i have dyna coils),or wrap the wire around the spark plug wire.i still haven't gotten mine to read completely right on the tach(it is about 1500 or 2000 off,i think)but it is just that i need to do a little more program adjustment i think.

Vapor--
Made in the U.S.A.
I really like mine!
It has a clock and thermometer and cool blinky lights.:P
I hooked the Tach wire to the coil wire instead of the plug wire and it works very well.
Mine pooped out on me and they sent me a new one with no hassles.Great customer service.
It has been perfect.
You can program the yellow light as a shift light and the red one as red line. How cool is that. The backlight is white and easy to see.
I ordered a kit for the Suzuki SV650 because my front wheel is similar. It is super quick to install and calibration was not that bad either.

The front end top view looks great .B)
Just a heads up, clear the paint on the bars for a good ground under the horn side controls, or add a horn ground.I had horn issues due to this.

I have not decided on ignition but the Dyna 2000 seems to be the best choice. If I use the Vapor that would seal it. no tach cables spinning around and slopping oil.

The roller should be complete by Saturday 28th. I sketched one out, and since I got no lathe in the garage, Ed the magical tool maker has graciously volunteered to make 2.

I am thinking this is the ticket, so you get to test fire it. The roller would hold up real good with a bearing, but the bushing wieghs a whole lot less, and the only thing its for is so the Nylon roller gets spun a littel instead of gouged.

I really really appreciate this kind of information, a photo, so i can guess about how big it is, and I was wondering about the SV 650 thing, which you answered before I even asked.

Thank you thank you.

The vapor it is. That should be about winter though, the track will no doubt reveal some gremlin i will have to chase around.
