Funny as I (in a weak moment) considered putting the old HW back on just to have a solid bracket for the pip hanger.
Not going to happen...
Almost drove by one of my favorite salvage yards Tuesday on the way to work. Resisted the temptation. I can wait on this for now. Noone except for the kids are interested in riding with me... Not having these on board is giving me a nice excuse.
Since I'm not going to buy anything in the near future I'll pull it out and show off where I'm at with the project. One item I took some grief for on the old forum is fixed. That will be a supprise...
Other items are documented over there but they are not on this forum so worth a revisit at some point.
Check with you guys later.

Spacers were placed at most all the mount points to use the existing GPz/KZ750R1 hardware. Mount points were brought in on the ZR case. Many items are the same between the two bikes. Transmission has the same gear ratio, compression is the same and many other similarities. I'm using the '82 base pan on the '91 motor for example. On this install chose a Canadian valve cover to rid myself of the emissions valve assembly.
Some updates were nice... Since you mention the clutch. The cable is attached to a cam lever on the right side. No more push tube running through the case.
I'm thinking of placing the GPz cams in the unit this winter see if I can get the motor to liven up a bit. In all I should have had the old carbs prepped for this motor as what I'm using is way over kill... I need to beef this thing to an 810 to get some use out of them.
Well see. If I can I'll take some more detailed pictures but our good camera is without the utility lens at the moment. Hard to take detail pictures with a 200mm zoom.

I've done a lot of easy mods to the bike so far, still need to install the stainless brake lines though. The hydraulic clutch conversion was the latest. So much smoother than a cable. Haven't dove in to anything to deep yet like swingarm or forks though. I am considering it, but not sure if I have the talent or tools to pull it off. Nice to know I can come here to figure everything out if I decide and try. By the way, how much work was it to swap in the ZR engine?
Got pics of your hydraulic clutch conversion???
If you do, make a new post (here in 'Projects'...) I'd hate to thread-jack this one as it's a good 'un.
